Adding a Google Review Just Got Easier

Google ReviewsEarly April, Google changed its interface to allow Google Map users to add a review for your practice.  This was an option a few years ago, but its back!  Now, Google allows visitors with and without a Google+ account to leave a local Google Review.  This is fabulous news!

Accumulating Google Reviews is a great way to improve your dental SEO.   The more positive Google Reviews you have, the higher your website will appear in a Google search.

Try it by adding a Google Review for Cutting Edge Practice.  Find the NEW  link to Write A Review in this screen capture to the right.   I added a black arrow to help you find the new link.

If you are having problems with this, give Sharon a call at 847-370-9131.

Need More Reasons To Have A Mobile Ready Dental Website?

Cutting Edge Practice creates mobile friendly responsive dental websites

Google is getting ready to implement a new change to Google searches in May 2016.  Consumers are turning to their mobile devices to access information by cell phone, by tablet, on their car consoles and their watches!  Maile Ohye, a developer programs tech lead at Google posted a great video outlining the reasons businesses should have a mobile website. Here is some of the information she presented in her video explaining why customers searching for information on their mobile device matter.  You can watch her complete video at the bottom of my post!

  • “85% of smart phone users have searched for local info
  • 81% have taken action as a result
  • 40% visited the location in-person
  • 35% called a business after searching”

Because Google made a pivotal change in their search engine algorithm last year in reaction to the dramatic shift in the way that consumers use mobile devices & search for information, you must have a mobile friendly website to stay competitive.  On March 16th, Google announced that starting in May, 2016  “we’ll start rolling out an update to mobile search results that increases the effect of the ranking signal to help our users find even more pages that are relevant and mobile-friendly.”   If your website is mobile friendly, you won’t see a change, but if you do not have a mobile friendly website, you will begin to see your rankings fall behind.

Read more about the benefits of a mobile friendly dental website in the blog I published last fall.

Don’t wait until May to start your new dental website design.   Sharon Kantor Bogetz, MBA, MEd, partner at Cutting Edge Practice and her team of website designers can create a mobile friendly responsive website that will launch before May 2016.  If you already have a website you like, we can re-engineer a new dental website that will be mobile friendly before this next big Google change.  Call Sharon to discuss your options at (847) 370-9131.

Dental Staff Training – September is National Dental Infection Control Awareness Month

OSHA dental staff training | National Dental Infection Control Awareness MonthThe Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP)
has announced that September is National Dental Infection Control
Awareness Month.

OSHA Dental Staff Training

OSHA tells us that dental staff should have “regular” training.  OSHA requires dental staff training upon initial hiring, whenever a new material or a new dental device is introduced and recommends OSHA training at least 1 time per year.

Have you scheduled your dental staff training in the CDC Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings this year?  Have your dental staff been trained in the NEW Hazard Communication Standard that went into effect on June 1, 2015?  If not, it is time to set up a dental staff training session for your office.

Sharon Kantor Bogetz, MBA, ME.d, dental consultant at Cutting Edge Practice provides dental staff training.   She can come to your office and present a 2-hour program on Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings and OSHA training, which includes the New Hazard Communication Standard.  This can also be done by video-conference.    Call Sharon at (847) 370-9131 or email her today.
